Sir Paul McCartney & Paul Muldoon

It was so worth the ride to Yale for Sir Paul. In the mean time he was there to have a discussion with THE Paul Muldoon.

Mr. Muldoon has published over thirty collections and won a Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, the T. S. Eliot Prize and the 2003 Griffin International Prize for Excellence in Poetry.

Paul Muldoon is an American journalist and author who is currently the Chief Editor at the Washington Post.

We all had the best conversations in then dressing rooms where ALL the real talk comes out :)

I was there for Sir Paul, but when Mr Muldoon asked if he could have some makeup because Sir Paul looked so natural… that’s my thing :) I jacked his hair up and when he looked in the mirror, Mr Muldoon said “Well this is a new look and I like it” .

It’s always a good day when I’m surrounded by geniuses.

I love a good deep conversation.

Sir Paul McCartney

It’s always a good day when I’m with Sir Paul :)

We did an interview this week that will air next month or April… It’s a secret :)

Paul has so much energy, one would never know he is 78 !

To work with Paul is such a pleasure. He hand picks his crew and all the people around him and I’m honored to be in his circle.

I can’t even describe how down to earth Paul and his lovely wife Nancy are.

The beard is growing on me :) No matter what he remains humble.

Life is good !

John Turturro with "Desus & Mero"

The moment I walked to the backroom dressing rooms, I had the biggest smile on face ..

They have these the laugh especially Mero (Joel Martinez) that is so contagious your belly hurts :)

I was hired to to John Torturro as he has joined the cast. How cool is that??

He’s REALLY FUNNY!!! John had me laughing so hard . On set they had to cut so many times because people couldn’t keep a straight face

The show features longtime acquaintances Desus Nice (Daniel Baker) and The Kid Mero (Joel Martinez) chatting with guests at the intersection of pop culture, sports, music, politics and more, as well as giving their take on the day’s hot topics in front of a small live studio audience from New York City. Upcoming guests include Lin-Manuel Miranda, Charlize Theron, Amy Poehler, Gabrielle Union, Seth Rogen, Spike Lee, Bill Hader, Regina Hall, among others.

Desus and Mero reconnected online in the early days of Twitter, where they unleashed their potent personalities and found themselves kindred spirits. That led to stints on Complex and MTV, the Bodega Boys podcast, and a daily late-night show on Viceland. The duo continue to host their Bodega Boys podcast.

Mo Williams’s All Star Storytime!

What a fabulous event at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.

Mo Williams has written several children’s book & brought a few of his celebrity friends to read them and act out the role.

Willems first became interested in cartoon art when he was just a child. When he was 3 or 4 he started to draw and create his own characters. Willems enjoyed writing stories about his characters to share with others. However, he was disappointed when adults would praise his work out of politeness. To fix this dilemma Willems started writing funny stories. He knew that even polite adults could not fake a laugh. So when the adults laughed he knew his story was good and if the adults still gave polite comments then he knew his story was bad.

The celebrity friends that were there and I had the honor to work with are:

Anthony Anderson

Yvette Nicole Brown

Rachel Dratch

Cameron Esposito

Tony Hale

Greta Lee

Thomas Lennon

Joey Mazzarino

Natalie Morales

Fred Newman

Oscar Nunez

It was a beautiful day at The Kennedy Center … The Watergate Hotel was pretty awesome too :)

Gloria Steinem

What a pleasure it was to work with this incredible woman.

Her show on Broadway “Gloria” will not disappoint. There was not a dry eye in the house at the end of the night.

Gloria is the first truly strong woman that I admired & she is a powerhouse!

Gloria is a writer, lecturer, political activist, and feminist organizer. She travels in this and other countries as an organizer and lecturer and is a frequent media spokeswoman on issues of equality. She is particularly interested in the shared origins of sex and race caste systems, gender roles and child abuse as roots of violence, non-violent conflict resolution, the cultures of indigenous peoples, and organizing across boundaries for peace and justice. She lives in New York City, and just published her first book in over twenty years.

It was a true honor to just be a small part of her life, even if it was only for the weekend.

Tony Bennet & Diana Krall

This was a fun week promoting a new album with Tony Bennett & Diana Krall.

The title is “Love Is Here To Stay”…

All the songs are from the George Gershwin collection so you know everyone is a hit!

These two work so beautifully together and their love for one another shows even on the album.

I just love Old School, with all it’s class and meaning in every song.

Did you know that George Gershwin died at the tender age of 38! What a genius.

It was an honor as always to work with these two talented musicians.

Life is good :)

Nicki Minaj at The VMA's

Well, this was one show that will go down in history and it was no easy task.... but I love the adrenaline rush.

Just when you think you have seen it all... BAM!!!

The VMA's are on Sunday night, Saturday at 3:30pm Nicki's stylist wanted all 8 female dancers to have 25 inch pony tails with matching bangs. Ok, I'll make that happen... No problem!

Sunday (day of show) that afternoon Nicki brought in 4 new dancers from LA which were all Asian with blonde hair.. OK still made it happen!

When we finally get to the stage, wardrobe wants us to attach METAL head gear on the crown  of their heads.  We probably used 3000 bobby pins to secure those pieces on!  My fear was one would have flown off when they whipped their head around. Not one fell off!!!! Made it Happen!

When Nicki Minaj is on the performance list for an awards show, you know she’s going to deliver. The Queen rapper, whose new album just dropped Aug. 10, made quite a mark at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards: she chose to stage her show-stopping performance at the Occulus.

Singing from downtown Manhattan’s Oculus, the transport hub and shopping center that opened in the World Trade Center district recently, the Queens rapper served up an energetic medley of songs from her album, opening with “Majesty” before shedding her elaborate pink cape to rap “Barbie Dreams” and one more track, dressed in golden armor.

The number of people that were being honored I honestly could not keep up.  Everyone was having such a good time  Here is a list of all the people I did hair & makeup on ... It was truly a ROCKSTAR kind of night !

My job is so fun !

Filming the play "Holiday Inn"

Filming LIVE plays are always a challenge!

Especially when there are 23 actors & 18 costume changes.

Also we can't forget 12 wigs & we streamed all of this LIVE on Saturday night.

Corbin Bleu was the lead (he was in The High School Musical) & he danced , sang & taped his heart out.

Holiday Inn was preformed from the original Studio 54.  If walls could talk!!!

3 days, 50 pairs of eyelashes, 18 costume changes (2 shows on Saturday) & 23 actors…. if I had the chance I would do it all over again.

Theater people are so professional.  NO mater what  THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!!

Showtime At The Apollo 2016

Fox is reviving the long-running “Showtime at the Apollo” as a pair of specials with Steve Harvey set to host.

A two-hour version of the classic talent showcase from New York’s Apollo Theater will be broadcast on Fox Monday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. A one-hour special will follow in early 2017. The specials will feature elements of the Apollo’s weekly Amateur Night competition, which has been running for 82 years and helped launch the careers of artists such as James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Lauryn Hill, Michael Jackson and The Jackson Five and D’Angelo.

“Showtime at the Apollo,” featuring the Amateur Night competition and performances by established stars, aired as a syndicated television show from 1987 to 2008 and featured music, comedy, dance and other acts. Harvey served as its host from 1993 to 2000.

Tony Bennett's 90th Birthday @ Radio City Music Hall

What a star packed night with everyone showing up for Tony Bennett's 90th birthday.

There was everyone from Michael Buble, KD Lang, Lady Gaga, Alex Baldwin, Bruce Willis, Steve Buscemi, Rufus Wainwright, Kevin Spacy, Andrea Bocelli, Steve Wonder, Don Rickles, Regis Philbin, Keith Richards, Bob Dylan, Diana Krall, Robert DeNiro, John McEnroe, even Miss Piggy :D

There was only myself & my assistant Corinne Tucci so needless to say we had our hands full but what a incredible show.

The love everyone has for Tony is unmeasurable.

He is a true legend & wonderful human being.

Penn & Teller "Fool Us"

Going back to Vegas to work with Penn & Teller on their TV show on the CW network  "Fool Us" was like coming home to my Vegas family.

Of course we are all sworn to secrecy as to all the happenings going on backstage .  So cool to see how the magicians do their magic.

Doves flying, snakes showing up, people sawed in half, puppies disappearing .. It's Vegas :)

The magicians must try to fool Penn & Teller… well out of 20 only 4 people fooled them!

They are the KINGS of all magicians since they have been together for 40 years!!!!

It was a great 2 weeks & I hope this job goes on forever.

We had a new host Alyson Hannigan from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "How I Met Your Mother".  She was an AWESOME host. It was truly a pleasure to work with her.

Vegas is a crazy place but if you know the right people it can be magical.
