What a show we had for Amazon Prime Day!!!
It was pure Girl Power :)
The artists were:
Taylor Swift
SZA
Due Lipa
Becky G
Hosted by Jane Lynch & Tyler Oakley
Tyler was the coolest kid I’ve worked with in years! He was kind and so generous to the whole crew. Respect is the first word that comes to mind. I can see why he has 6 million followers!
Tyler Oakley attributes his success only in part to his accessibility as a young gay man. "It's not all about me being gay. It's kind of like an underlying theme for me [with gay life] sprinkled throughout the videos."[1] He sees Ellen DeGeneres as a role model: "She embodies what I want my experience to be and my influence to be, where it's a positive one, it's a happy one, it's not something about the bad parts of life or the downsides of a lot of things. She's using her influence for good, and everyone knows who she is, what she stands for, and that she is a lesbian."[1]
It was an amazing night to be back with my Fremantle Production family again. Also to work for the best director Glenn Weiss and producer Laura Hill.
This is a perfect example why I love my job!
Here is Tyler doing MY makeup :)
What a night for women!!
The most powerful women were all under one roof for this special night on the East River.
Ariana Grande won for Woman Of The Year.
Cyndi Lauper, Kacey Musgraves & SZA performed.
Janelle Monae won for Trailblazer Award.
We had the honor of working with the Fierce & Fearless attorney for songwriters Dina LaPolt … LOVE HER!!!
It was so refreshing to see woman honestly and truly love one another.
Wish the night would never end.
It’s so important for women to stick up and support other women.
We have to have each others back :)
The Grammys are back in New York City !!!!!
The 60th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony was held on January 28, 2018. The CBS network broadcast the show live from Madison Square Garden in New York City.[2] It was the first time since 2003 that the ceremony was held outside Los Angeles (where the Staples Center had been the home of the Grammys since 2004). James Corden returned as host.[3]
The ceremony recognizes the best recordings, compositions and artists of the eligibility year, which ran from October 1, 2016 to September 30, 2017. The nominations were announced on November 28, 2017. The "pre-telecast" ceremony (officially named The Premiere Ceremony) was be held on the same day prior to the main ceremony.
I was the Department Supervisor for Glam (25 assistants) so it was a 3 ring Circus getting Lady Gaga's backup singers ready along with Daddy Yankee, Rihanna, SZA & Despacito but I LOVED every minute of it :)
I truly hope the Grammys come back to NYC!!!
